This 1926 Ford Model TT farm truck does not just take you back in time it carries the smell of hot meals, open roads, and American grit. Mounted on Mikey is a 100 year old cooker, the kind once used by the Tin Can Tourists, a wild group of early road trippers who turned cars into campers and highways into home. Founded in Tampa, Florida in 1919, they rolled south to soak up sun, swap stories, and cook meals on the move with setups just like this. These travelers did not rely on propane or coolers. They fired up scrap metal cookers, bolted them to fenders, and let the engine heat do the rest. From beans to hot dogs, they made roadside magic with whatever they had. No frills. No chrome. Just raw American ingenuity. The cooker on Mikey is no replica. It is a real piece of rolling history. Part stovetop, part survival, part story. And with hot dogs served just steps away, the tradition lives on.
Keep an eye out for Mikey at some of the local fairs, car shows, and parades. When he's not at an event, he's relaxing curbside at the restaurant.
